Vilseck hosted the first-ever two-day DODEA-Europe Championship, facing elite national teams. After strong performances (team-best 2292 on Day 2), Vilseck surged to 3rd overall with 4566 points, just 6 shy of second. Jasmine Tetterton was Europe’s top shooter, and Camdyn Deese earned silver in finals. A proud, resilient showing!

Vilseck Marksmanship Team makes history! For the first time ever, TWO Vilseck teams qualified for the Army JROTC Service National Championship. Competing among 1,700 programs worldwide, this achievement highlights their dedication and skill. Congrats to all our shooters and to DODEA-Europe for claiming 7 of 10 Northeast Region spots!

Vilseck High School’s AP Government students brought politics to life with an Interest Group Convention! Students represented real interest groups, shared their history and achievements, and competed for “donations” from peers using pretend money. This hands-on activity showed how lobbying influences policy and connects directly to DoDEA standards on civic participation and political processes.

This past Thanksgiving, the VHS faculty got a warm surprise as they headed to and from the faculty lounge. Staff was greeted by an international wall of appreciation from their students--- creatively decorated "thank you" cards with personalized messages in German, Spanish and English.

On November 5–6, Vilseck High School AP Seminar students showcased their AP with WE service projects during lunch, presenting research on global and local issues like education in Sub-Saharan Africa and whale migration. They shared solutions through websites and brochures, reflecting weeks of work. AP with WE, a new VHS initiative, empowers students to connect learning with real-world problem-solving and earn College Board recognition for civic engagement.
