The cadets of Vilseck High School’s Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) have taken a significant step in community preparedness through a collaborative initiative with the Bavaria Medical Department Activity (BMEDDAC). On May 20, cadets who successfully completed Level 1 of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training will be formally recognized in a certificate ceremony led by the commander and command sergeant major of BMEDDAC.

DoDEA Europe is proud to celebrate the Month of the Military Child (MoMC) across 64 schools in 8 countries, shining a spotlight on the strength, resilience, and courage of military-connected children. This month, our schools are hosting a wide range of events that include clap-ins, purple shirt days, interactive activities, performances by school bands, and more — all aimed at recognizing the vital role military children play in supporting their families and communities.

DoDEA Europe has successfully integrated wristwatch heart rate monitor (HRM) technology into high school physical education (PE) classes across Europe. This initiative highlights a strong collaboration among IT specialists, educational technologists (ETs), instructional systems specialists (ISS), and teacher support networks through job-alike Focus Collaboration Time (FCT).

In an inspiring initiative to promote college and career readiness, 57 students from Vilseck High School's AVID program embarked on a field study trip to the Anglo-American University (AAU) in Prague. The enriching experience aimed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of university life and the opportunities available in higher education.
