The VHS Physical Education Department is pleased to announce the implementation of IHT Spirit Heart Rate Monitors for use during physical education classes. These innovative devices offer immediate feedback to students, helping them monitor their heart rate and maintain activity within their optimal fitness zone (commonly referred to as the yellow zone).
Following each workout session, both students and instructors receive an emailed summary of the heart rate data, enabling valuable reflection and progress tracking. Since the introduction of these heart rate monitors, we have observed an increase in student engagement, effort, and participation in vigorous cardiovascular activities, as they strive to remain within their healthy heart rate zone (120–180 bpm).
We are incredibly proud of our students' dedication and the positive outcomes we are seeing. We look forward to expanding the use of these devices across more of our physical education classes to further enhance student fitness and learning.

Mr. Anthony Devine, VHS Librarian
It has been a great school year here in the Vilseck High School Library. I am thrilled that we had over 15,000 visits made by students to the library. As we transition from the academic school year to summer break, I would like to remind everyone of the MWR Library's Summer Reading Program: Level Up at the Library! This program is open to all students in our community, whether you normally visit the Rose Barracks library or the Tower Barracks library. To get started, just click on the Level Up at the Library graphic to sign up!
Keep Reading, Falcons!
