Vilseck High School AVID Students Visit Anglo-American University in Prague
On February 20, 2025, 57 students from Vilseck High School's AVID program embarked on an educational field study to the Anglo-American University (AAU) in Prague. The students toured the university grounds, attended classes in Humanities, Business, and International Relations, and participated in a collaborative challenge on trust. They also received valuable information about higher education expenses and experienced a virtual dormitory tour. This visit, aligned with AVID's College and Career Indicators (CCI) goals, provided the students with a comprehensive understanding of university life and inspired them to pursue higher education with renewed motivation.
The trip was a significant step in promoting college and career readiness among the students. The immersive experience allowed them to interact with professors, university staff, and alumni, gaining unique insights into the diverse paths available after high school. The visit left a lasting impact on the students, fostering a culture of academic aspiration and preparedness.
