Vilseck Marksmanship Team Makes History!

The Vilseck High School Marksmanship Team has achieved a historic milestone for the program. For the past decade, the team has consistently qualified for the Army JROTC Service National Championship—an impressive accomplishment on its own. This year, however, they raised the bar even higher by qualifying two teams for the championship for the first time in program history!

This achievement reflects the team’s dedication, hard work, and commitment to improving both their technical skills and mental toughness. To put this into perspective, there are more than 1,700 Army JROTC programs worldwide, making this accomplishment truly remarkable.

DODEA-Europe Dominates the Northeast Region

The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) oversees all Service National and National Junior League competitions across the country. The Army JROTC National Championship is divided into three regions: West, South, and Northeast. DODEA-Europe Army JROTC programs compete in the Northeast Region, which is allotted 10 precision-class team spots. This year, DODEA-Europe claimed 7 of those 10 spots:

  • Vilseck – 2 teams
  • Ansbach – 2 teams
  • Wiesbaden – 2 teams
  • Stuttgart – 1 team

Air Force JROTC programs compete in the South Region and receive 5 team spots. Kaiserslautern and Ramstein claimed two of those. These results highlight the exceptional performance of DODEA-Europe programs—success unmatched by any single district across the United States. Marksmanship is truly a national-level competition, and our teams continue to excel week after week.
