Celebrating National School Counselors Week
This week, our school community proudly recognizes National School Counselors Week, a time to celebrate and thank the dedicated professionals who support our students and staff every day. Counselors play a vital role in helping students reach their full potential—academically, socially, and emotionally—and their work often happens quietly behind the scenes.
We are grateful to have an outstanding counseling team and are pleased to recognize our VHS School Counselors Ms. Sprague & Ms. Corrigan, our amazing ASACS Counselor Ms. Harding, and our fantastic MFLC Counselors. Their commitment and care make a meaningful difference in our school climate and in the lives of the students and families they serve.
School counselors help students explore their abilities, strengths, interests, and talents as they relate to academic success and career awareness. They work closely with families, teachers, and other educators to support students’ growth, set realistic goals, and navigate challenges along the way. In addition, counselors connect students and families with community resources that enhance comprehensive school counseling programs and help students become productive, confident members of society.
Comprehensive school counseling programs are an integral part of the educational process, ensuring that all students have the support they need to succeed. During National School Counselors Week, we extend our sincere appreciation to our counseling team for their dedication, professionalism, and unwavering support of our school community.
